M4.6 Blog Assignment: Radon
An estimated 21,000 deaths just from cigarette smoking is extremely scary. These are 21,000 fathers, mothers, siblings, friends who have lost their lives due to not being fully educated on the side effects of smoking tobacco. I am a firm believer that the most important way one can stay clear of bad habits is by education. Education expands the users knowledge on what they should, and shouldn't be using once they find out about health concerns. I would start by creating a committee who all believes in the same goal as me; showing others the risks of smoking. I would then hold free educational class in local communities, parks, hospitals, and local weekend fairs. Some collaborators I would ask help from are elementary schools. This gives me a chance to start educating the youth and stray them clear of drugs even before they reach the legal age to smoke.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I think that is a good idea...I remember in my elementary school they had people who came as guest speakers who were people who smoked. I remember two people came in with stomas and they were showing us how if you smoke that you can get cancer and you will like with a hole in your neck, and that is if you are lucky. That made a lasting impression on a lot of us and they did it every year at our school.
