After reading and watching all the videos this week, I feel the most important chemical policy is prevention. Teaching others how to take the correct measurements to protect themselves and others is very crucial to me. It is very important because we can be protected from being placed in very dangerous situations. These scenarios can be very dangerous to our health short term, as well as long term.
Educating is the most important step in prevention. I believe that there should be a proper training period for all workers who are going to be handling chemicals. It is important that they have this knowledge from the day they start. This can ensure that no mess ups will happen along the way of their work.
Should an accident occur-workers should be fully aware of what they should do next. It should be a set protocol for everyone to follow so no one person is confused on which way to proceed.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I think education is so vital as well. Educating people allows for them to become their own agents in promoting other policy changes as well. It also gives people the opportunity to make more informed decisions on things that are impacting their health directly, and they can only make these decisions if they are knowledgeable on the issue.
